Words of wisdom drawn from the personal experiences of the Native Americans. Perhaps no other group of people has quite the rich and storied culture as those of the Native Americans. They have a history rich in struggle, strife, and triumph. So many aspects of our modern life were adapted from the old Indian cultures practiced centuries ago. Many familiar symbols that we take for granted were originated by Native Americans.
Hey guys come and meet a genuine climate change buster. A daily, mundane, banal object, which we all seem to posses, though we rarely look at these ‘silent servants’ an object so basic yet so useful, that has the quality of serving many functions in addition to it’s original one. Now I must go and hang out the washing…have an awesome TGM weekend x

Our little GUERILLA GARDENING site is coming along nicely…no we’re not talking about our fury cousins, but secret gardening TGM fans! Here’s a SUPER TIP it’s vital that people get involved to help maintain and own an area that has been ‘eco pimped’ therefore it’s always handy to have a TGM ECO Trooper living close to a planting zone. Can you spot our little helper? If you fancy trying your hand at a bit of GUERILLA GARDENING we’ve got a super fact sheet to help get you started see below…
This is so cute! A Koala yawns after taking a nap on a tree branch at the Symbio Wildlife Park in Wollongong, Australia. See the whole cute photo gallery here: http://tinyurl.com/6vhtv4x
Eight-year-old Ebony gets a whiff of the giant titan arum flower now in bloom in our rainforest. Check the live webcam: http://www.edenproject.com/come-and-visit/whats-here/rainforest-biome/titan-arum-the-biggest-flower-in-the-world
Guerilla gardening is all about mischief, having fun and spreading a little TGM happiness, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise right! It’s energy in action, and getting creative with people who care just as much as you about the planet and people. Coming to a waste ground near you…
What can you climb on, swing from, eat from, lay under, lean on, smell it, gaze at, enjoy??? A tree of course…Big events like a birth or a wedding deserve to be celebrated. Why not mark a happy occasion by planting a tree-soak up CO2 for years!
OK we are on a bit of a sea theme at the moment because we think our blue planet gets a bit of a rough deal. So we came across this wonderful poster about uncontrolled waste and the threat to our seas and just couldn’t wait to share it with you…who needs enemies like the Carbon Cowboy and Maximatosis when we do things like this to our own planet?
It’s official. The grounding of the Rena on the Astrolabe Reef is New Zealand’s worst marine environmental disaster. Who needs ECO Villains??? In this rare photo the Carbon Cowboy can be seen gloating…it will be a long and painful recovery period, but we’re lucky the environment is so forgiving of human idiocy.
Scientists are starting to consider planet-scale engineering projects to slow the pace of climate change, anything from causing massive plankton growth in the ocean to putting a giant mirror in space above Greenland to stop ice from melting. These ideas to alter the earth’s environment at large scale, called “geoengineering,” are increasingly being articulated and seriously evaluated even though they are likely to be controversial…but no more controversial than the damage the Carbon Cowboy can unleash!
Isn’t the natural world just blooming amazing! You don’t have to look hard (even while waiting for a bus) to see natures little colourful wonders going about their own business while you go about yours. Remember ‘Green Marines and Mariners’ to keep your eyes and ears peeled and if you can let us know just what catches your eye? Here’s an interesting fact about Ladybirds – the seven-spot ladybird can eat a whopping 5000 aphids during its year long lifespan and this is why so many people love to see ladybirds.
