Did you know? Hedgehog numbers have declined by 25% in just 10 years, and with Bonfire Night approaching, you can help protect our prickly friends. Where possible, re-site the entire pile before lighting. Alternatively, use broom handles to lift from the base of the pile, and shine torches to look for signs of life. Did you know? The landing of NASA’s new Mars rover, Curiosity, is only days away and will be broadcast live in New York City’s Times Square. Viewable on the two giant LED screens, touchdown is scheduled to take place at 1:31am EDT on Monday morning. Officially named the “Mars Science Laboratory,” the rover will land in Gale Crater and will spend at least two years searching for habitats that could have supported life in the past. Curiosity is the heaviest and most complex rover ever built, and requires the most complicated (and dangerous) landing procedure ever attempted. It now means Patch can talk, yes a talking Panda, hey every team should have one. Patch is a super climber and swimmer, and although he might seem pretty quiet, he does make a lot of growling, honking and farting…it’s only natural, all that bamboo ha ha
