Now that’s what we call Apple Bobbing Commitment!!! Apple Day usually takes place on 21 October each year, or often the nearest weekend to that date. There are lots of Apple Day events taking place across the UK, so why not have a bit of fun creating your own old skool activities – the longest peel competition, cook a crumble, walk in an orchard, apple bobbing and tasting. Or you could just dazzle your friends and family with our apple trivia??? Do you know why apples float? Because they are 25% air. Or did you know that in Ancient Greece tossing an apple to a girl was a proposal of marriage and catching it was a response of ‘yes’! WE MUST SAY!!! …
Did you know? The first Paralympic Games were held in Rome, Italy in 1960 and featured 400 athletes from 23 countries. In 1976 Örnsköldsvik, Sweden staged the first Paralympic Winter Games. The Games are now the second biggest sporting event in the world. You can follow all the action and learn everything there is to know clicking here http://www.paralympic.org/
