Did you know? Showers have become more popular in the last 30 years, from less than 20% of homes owning a shower in the 1970s to about 85% ownership today. Nowadays, showers use around 12% of the water used in the household. By being water efficient in the shower you can save money not only on your water bill, but on your energy bill too, whilst protecting the environment.

The blue whale is a marine mammal belonging to the suborder of baleen whales. At 30 metres in length and 170 tonnes or more in weight, it is the largest known animal to have ever existed.

Why don’t sheep shrink when it rains? – If the things we make from wool shrink after getting wet, shouldn’t the wool shrink while it’s still on the sheep’s back, too? There are two main things that help the wool on a sheep’s back to not be affected by water the same way as your wool sweaters: One factor is the way the tiny fibres grow on each strand of wool. As a sheep’s hair grows out of its back, the fibres of each strand, which are scaly, point out towards the same direction. We thought you might like this? Did you know the first two wheeled rider propelled machine was invented by Baron Karl de Drais de Sauerbrun, in France in 1818. It was entirely made of wood. It’s also been calculated that cycling at least 20 miles a week cuts in half the risk of heart disease compared to non-cyclists who take no exercise, according to the British Heart Foundation. The British Medical Association also recommends that you cycle daily. Dust off that saddle and feel the wind in your hair WHOOHAAA!!!
