Just like it was in the old days a pole is a symbol of unity, tradition and pride. It represents a family’s histories, relationships, stories, beliefs and experiences. A traditional totem pole shows animals and mythical figures associated with a family or friends. The word totem is derived from the Ojibwe word odoodem, “his kinship group”. We came across this modern day totem in Geralton, Western Australia. We love the messages, must be time for a group hug x

Did you know? Fashion is like no other medium, in that you literally dress yourself in what you believe in. We want to use the power of fashion to make eco cool, and design traceable, transparent products. Organic cotton reduces harmful pesticides and fertilisers. Eco textiles are out there and much healthier for our planet WHOOHAAA x

What’s this a HUGE bunny! Could it be a sign from our very own Maximatosis, the twisted, megalomaniacal mutant half man half rabbit creature from the far off planet Lagomorph’ intent on building his own army of animal misfits! Let’s hope not!!! YEEOWZA Source: Florentijn Hofman

Gardening’s gone all guerilla. Those forgotten areas of the estate, left to fall apart and fall into disrepair. The municipal scrub land where nothing can grow…Or can it? We’re about to find out. Buttercups and Poppies will take at least 3 weeks to start growing, Ryegrass should be the first thing to grow after about one week. Keep watching this space folks…

WOW!!! We just came across this amazing idea ‘Refrigeration Without Electricity’. Project Overview: Mobah Rural Horizons, is a Rural Development and Consulting Organization that designs, invents, and disseminates appropriate technologies for poor rural areas. Problem Addressed: For people who live in hot climates with little electricity, food spoils quickly. Produce spoils in within three days without refrigeration, forcing farmers to rush their crops to the market and sell them at undervalued prices. This has a lot of consequences to the farmers, and their families, because it affects their village …
