Viewable on the two giant LED screens, touchdown is scheduled to take place at 1:31am EDT on Monday morning. Officially named the “Mars Science Laboratory,” the rover will land in Gale Crater and will spend at least two years searching for habitats that could have supported life in the past. Curiosity is the heaviest and most complex rover ever built, and requires the most complicated (and dangerous) landing procedure ever attempted. Chloe Swift at the helm of the Greenfly. Originally the shuttle unit from Zzzpphb-wwwebozwephband’s space craft, the team use it to race to distant locations across the globe. As the name suggests, Greenfly has an insect-like design. It uses Alien anti-gravity technology to travel silently and with little power usage (it is recharged from solar panels). Originally designed for the frog-like aliens, it has now been refitted to seat human beings – but it is a bit cramped! It is capable of a very high speed which allows the team to reach any danger zone.
